Our client, a Commodity Trading company, is seeking a Business Analyst with a strong focus on compliance and regulatory reporting within the commodities trading space. This role is essential for driving regulatory reporting and supporting the firm’s data-heavy compliance initiatives, working closely with trading systems and various reporting frameworks.

What you’ll do:

* Act as a liaison between business units and IT to gather requirements for regulatory reporting under frameworks such as CFTC (Dodd-Frank), EMIR (London), and Canadian regulations.

* Lead efforts in managing data flows across multiple systems, ensuring compliance data is extracted, consolidated, and fed into the required regulatory systems.

* Work on data mapping and normalisation projects involving data from six different systems and APIs.

* Provide support for trade reporting processes, focusing on OTC swaps, ensuring data flows seamlessly into reporting systems.

* Participate in automation projects to streamline compliance reporting and improve efficiency.

* Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and a team of compliance analysts to deliver timely and accurate reports.

* Manage data feeds from trading systems, working with systems like K3 Broadpeak to ensure data is processed and reported correctly to regulatory bodies.

Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on regulatory reporting, data management, and compliance.

* Experience working with commodities trading, OTC swaps, or relevant financial products is preferred.

* Strong technical understanding of data systems, API integrations, and data flow management.

* Familiarity with regulatory reporting systems such as K3 Broadpeak or similar platforms.

* Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks like CFTC, EMIR, and Dodd Frank.

* Ability to work independently on complex data-driven projects and collaborate effectively with compliance and IT teams.
