Lead DevOps Engineer

Lead DevOps Engineer | Commodities Trading | 120k – 145k CAD + Bonus | Toronto

Cititec Talent has partnered with a leading global commodities firm that is looking to hire a Lead DevOps Engineer, AWS focus, who can leverage their expertise to build and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient cloud infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance for commodities trading platforms.
• Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD workflows to accelerate software delivery while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with trading teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of trading applications into the production environment.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues and apply corrective measures to maintain efficient operations.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in AWS technologies and best practices relevant to the commodities trading sector.
• Contribute to refining internal DevOps standards and ensure consistency in operational practices.

Key Requirements and Desirable Skills:

• Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and compliance in financial services.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
• Experience in architecting and managing AWS infrastructure, preferably in financial services or commodities trading.
• Proficient in Python and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Lambda.
• Proficient in Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Familiar with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic) and commodities trading systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
