LNG Lead Developer – Global Commodities Firm | London (Hybrid)

Cititec Talent has partnered with a leading global commodities firm seeking an experienced Lead Developer to act as the technical lead within the LNG development team. As LNG becomes increasingly vital in global energy markets, this role presents a unique opportunity to drive the technical development of systems that support physical LNG trading across international markets.

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of system development, managing the software stack, application architecture, and development processes. You will enforce design and process standards to ensure efficiency while maintaining and expanding Specflow for comprehensive testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the technical platform, ensuring alignment with best practices for architecture and system performance
• Define and enforce design standards for interfaces and processes
• Manage testing frameworks, including the maintenance and expansion of Specflow
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions for LNG trading

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in Energy or Commodities Trading, with a deep understanding of Front, Middle, and Back Office functions and the trade lifecycle
• Experience working in development teams within finance/trading organisations
• Proficient in the Microsoft technology stack, including C#, .NET, SQL, and Azure
• Familiarity with MTM valuation, exposure, and Greek calculations
• Proficient in WinForms and Infragistics components
• Skilled in Entity Framework, WCF, and Azure DevOps tools
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, particularly Specflow/Gherkin
• Broad understanding of emerging technologies relevant to trading systems

Location: London-based, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
