Our client, a global Investment Bank, is seeking a Proximity Development Lead to join their team on a permanent basis. You will serve as the primary liaison between the business, particularly Front Office stakeholders, and the development team. You will be responsible for managing key projects, ensuring technical solutions align with business needs, and driving system enhancements.

What you’ll do:
Functional Leadership (40%)

• Act as the functional expert in pre-trade and pricing systems.
• Collaborate with Front Office stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide strategic input on system design and functionality.

Stakeholder Management (30%)

• Build strong relationships with traders, sales teams, and other business users.
• Challenge technical teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals.
• Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders and development teams.

Hands-On Development (30%)

• Provide technical oversight and guidance to the development team.
• Perform hands-on coding when necessary, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Support project delivery from initiation to completion.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar functional leadership role within commodities trading or financial markets.
• Strong understanding of pre-trade and pricing systems.
• Expertise in options, swaps, derivatives, futures, and market data.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Hands-on technical skills with coding experience (C#).
• Experience managing agile development teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to act as a conduit between business users and technical teams.
