AI Workflow Automation Manager – New York (Hybrid) – Permanent

My client is looking for an AI Workflow Automation Manager to help shape the next chapter of their applied AI journey. This is a role for someone who is curious about how complex organisations work and who enjoys turning real operational challenges into thoughtful, intelligent automation.

You will spend your time with the teams who run the heartbeat of the business, understanding how their processes function and where AI can step in to create meaningful improvement. The work is hands-on and grounded in reality. You will design and guide AI agents that take responsibility for the workflows people rely on every day from settlements to logistics to reconciliations. It is work that matters and it is visible.

You will collaborate closely with the Head of AI and with subject matter experts across the organisation. As the programme grows you will have the opportunity to influence its direction and take ownership of your domain. This is a rare chance to drive real transformation in an environment that is evolving quickly and open to innovative thinking.

What you will do:

• Translate manual operational workflows into scalable AI driven processes
• Design, prompt and configure AI agents to automate critical tasks
• Work with SMEs to clarify undocumented workflows and convert them into logic that can be automated
• Partner with engineering on validation, governance and workflow logic
• Guide junior analysts and lead documentation and adoption
• Collaborate directly with the Head of AI on a rapidly expanding programme

What we are looking for:

• Strong understanding of operational workflows in trading financial services or similar environments
• Skilled communicator with the ability to navigate stakeholders and guide change
• Comfortable with AI tools prompting and structured logic
• Analytical thinker who can break down complex processes
• Able to handle multiple workstreams in a dynamic setting

Nice to have:

• Experience in workflow automation or transformation
• Exposure to commodities energy or financial markets
• Background in product ownership or operations change
