Amazon Connect/Product Engineer
£600 per day (Inside IR35) | 6-month initial contract | Remote (1-2 days/month in office)

Our client is looking for an experienced senior software engineer to build out new capabilities within their Amazon Connect instances. You will work with existing teams to build, enhance, maintain and support the existing and future products and services. Primarily working with AWS technologies, you will build services that accelerate the stakeholders’ vision, providing tangible benefits within the business.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions utilizing AWS services such as Amazon Lex, Amazon Connect, Lambda’s and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate capabilities into contact centre solutions.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in TypeScript / JavaScript / Python.

• Implement and advocate for DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.

• Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple areas of the software stack.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure their solutions remain competitive yet sustainable.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role.

• Strong expertise in AWS services, particularly Amazon Lex, Contact Flows, IVR and Amazon Connect

• Proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks and Python.

• Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Serverless, Monitoring).

• Strong experience with contact centre technologies and integrations.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
