Cititec is supporting a major technology transformation programme and is seeking an experienced AWS Migration Delivery Manager to lead a key phase of a large-scale cloud transition.

The programme centres on moving a substantial Linux infrastructure estate into AWS, alongside the transformation of legacy database-driven applications into modern, cloud-native solutions.

You’ll provide overall delivery leadership, bringing together technical specialists, customer stakeholders and external partners to drive planning, proof of concept activity and future migration strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery professional who combines strong technical understanding with the ability to manage complex programmes, competing priorities and senior stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

• Lead end-to-end planning and coordination across infrastructure migration and application modernisation activities.
• Establish delivery schedules, budgets, resource requirements and key milestones.
• Drive migration strategy and sequencing across a large virtual infrastructure estate.
• Oversee the delivery of an AWS proof of concept, ensuring technical objectives and acceptance criteria are achieved.
• Manage programme governance, financial controls, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Work with customers and delivery partners to agree priorities, resolve challenges and maintain momentum.
• Lead stakeholder workshops and coordinate business requirements, technical decisions and migration timelines.
• Define delivery approaches and commercial proposals for future programme phases.
• Ensure appropriate testing, quality assurance and documentation throughout delivery.

Requirements:

• 15+ years’ experience in IT delivery, programme management or a similar leadership position.
• Demonstrable experience delivering complex cloud transformation or infrastructure migration programmes.
• Strong AWS knowledge and experience, ideally within government or highly regulated environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple technical workstreams, budgets, resources and delivery plans.
• Experience overseeing large-scale infrastructure migrations and developing migration strategies.
• Strong understanding of application and database modernisation.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders, suppliers and customer relationships.
• Confident producing delivery documentation, governance reports and Statements of Work.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• A previous technical background in software engineering, infrastructure, databases or DevOps would be beneficial.
• Experience with legacy technology transformation and AWS certifications would be advantageous.

BPSS clearance is required from day one, with active SC clearance preferred, or eligibility to obtain. Sole UK nationality and a minimum of five years’ UK residency are required.
