EHS Manager

I am currently supporting a major data centre construction project in Dalarna, Sweden, as they build out their delivery team ahead of an August start. They are looking to hire an EHS Manager to lead health, safety and environmental standards across a large scale, fast paced build.

This is a strong opportunity to take ownership of EHS on one of the most active construction programmes currently running in the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of EHS strategy across the project
• Ensure compliance with local Swedish and EU health, safety and environmental regulations
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments across all work areas
• Investigate incidents and near misses, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks and training for site personnel and subcontractors
• Work closely with construction, MEP and commissioning teams to embed safety across all trades
• Manage and mentor site based EHS advisors and coordinators
• Maintain EHS documentation, reporting and KPI tracking for the wider project team
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies as required

Requirements

• Experience in an EHS leadership role on large scale construction projects
• Data centre or mission critical experience is a bonus but not essential, we welcome backgrounds from industrial, commercial or infrastructure sectors
• Strong working knowledge of construction health and safety standards, ideally with exposure to Swedish or EU regulations
• Comfortable working on site in a fast paced, multi package programme
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of a project
• Relevant EHS qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent preferred
