Security & AI Controls Lead – Commodities Trading | Toronto
A leading commodities trading firm, with over 25 years of market presence, is seeking a Security & AI Controls Lead to strengthen its technology resilience. Over the past five years the firm has transformed its platforms with a AWS and AI-driven strategy, but security practices must now evolve to match this pace.
This is not a perimeter-focused role. It requires expertise in cloud-native environments, data governance, and the emerging risks of AI/LLM adoption. The successful candidate will design and implement modern guardrails across AWS, Microsoft 365, and internal platforms, embedding security into the way traders, analysts, and developers build and use technology.
Key priorities include:
- Strengthening AWS security and identity controls
- Implementing practical zero-trust and access governance
- Developing frameworks for safe AI and LLM usage
- Translating technical risks into clear business impact
The role is initially hands-on, with a defined path to broader security leadership as the firm consolidates its approach.
