The role:

Cititec Talent are working with an international bank who are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join them on a contract basis in London. This role will require solid hands-on technical and testing skills. This role will sit with the eCommodities team so understanding of electronic trades of commodity derivatives will be essential.

In terms of technical ability, this role will sit within the team that uses Azure, large datasets on a global scale as well as complex models for interest rates, liquidity, and behavioral risk.

What you’ll do:

• Business analysis, including gathering requirements, designing solutions, and creating documentation and tasks. Testing skills are also important for unit, QA, and regression testing.
• You’ll work closely with software engineers and stakeholders to define requirements and tasks.
• Contribute to the build of a solution to support commodity trading, focusing on Pre-Trade.
• Deal with challenges like creating scalable software in Azure, handling large datasets, and using complex models for risk.
• Work with global teams within Commodities, Non-linear, and Capital Markets.
• An understanding of risk management and compliance would be advantageous.

Requirements:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Background in investment banking and capital markets.
• Good knowledge of financial products, especially commodity derivatives
• Expert knowledge in pricing, risk, and trade lifecycles
• Unit and QA testing knowledge
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working on electronic trading applications, in any asset class
• Strong Excel skills
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud-based solutions – Azure and AWS
• Experience with financial data exchanges – XML, FPML, FIX, JSON ETX
