The Role
Cititec Talent has partnered with a leading eCommerce company looking to bring a Data Engineer into the team. As a Data Engineer within the Demand Offer Data Platform, your role will involve building, and managing data pipelines that serve as the definitive source for business process information, encompassing Pricing, Availability, Tracking, and Marketing.
The data you and your team provide underpin crucial business determinations. Continually questioning conventional approaches, you and your team deliver data processing solutions that prioritize high performance, efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
What you’ll do
Craft, create, and manage robust data integration pipelines handling vast data volumes to furnish top-tier curated data products.
Employing and enhancing a cloud-based (AWS) technology stack comprising Databricks Spark, Airflow, and Python.
Influencing our engineering ethos positively, fostering knowledge exchange, and spearheading technical dialogues and innovation within our engineering circle.
Requirements
Proficiency in deploying ETL pipelines using cutting-edge technology stacks (Databricks Spark, Airflow, AWS) and distributed data platforms.
Possessing an analytical mindset and proficient coding abilities in Python and SQL, emphasizing clean, readable, and maintainable code.
Understanding data modeling techniques for Business Intelligence systems, i.e. Star Schema.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies for application development (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
Prior experience in constructing Data Processing Platforms or Business Intelligence Systems.
