The role:
Cititec Talent has partnered with a leading Trading company, who are looking to bring a Global Data Engineering Manager into the team.
Reporting to the Head of Data Science and Engineering, you will contribute to building and developing an enterprise data platform and related applications in a trading environment, you will manage a global data engineering team responsible for the incorporation, management, and provision of market data, commodity-related economic data, and commercial data.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with trading technology application teams
- Work closely with senior data scientists, data engineers, research analysts, and traders in a highly commercial environment
Requirements:
- Significant experience in relevant roles
- Financial market data ingestion, ETL / ELT pipeline development, data modelling, and data provisioning
- Advanced Python & SQL
- Data quality management
- AWS data stack
- Experience with data related to energy and metals commodities, power generation, weather data, or shipping is advantageous
- Management of a global team of data engineers
- Management and ongoing development of an enterprise data platform built on AWS
- Development of new data products and services for commercial and operational teams
- Ability to lead and mentor an international technical team
- Outstanding ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders across business lines and technology
