Global Head of Engineering – London – Commodity Trading – up to £200k + bonus
Cititec Talent has partnered with a trading firm in the search for a Managing Director level – Head of Engineering to lead their Trading business. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will use your commodities and IT expertise to deliver a world-class, robust and scalable trading platform that can support business requirements.
Whilst driving business-wide transformation in IT and delivering high-performance systems, you’ll develop and implement an effective technology strategy to modernise the current IT landscape.
Other responsibilities include:
- Guiding the design and implementation of IT solutions by defining architectural principles
- Overseeing the design, development and implementation of technology solutions to support business-critical E/CTRM platforms
- Working with senior business and c-suite stakeholders to evaluate new technologies to enhance trading infrastructure whilst improving efficiency
- Driving the development process from concept to deployment whilst keeping to best practices
Experience required:
- To have a background in software development within commodity trading
- Knowledge of trading workflows, market data feeds, algorithms and risk management principles in commodity trading
- Experience managing and leading global development teams
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement of 4 days in the office and 1 from home.
