HPC Engineer

HPC Engineer – Fully remote – 6 months contract – Outside IR35 – Up to 550 per day.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled High-Performance Computing (HPC) Engineer with specialised expertise in administering the IBM Spectrum LSF scheduling platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Linux administration, proficiency in bash scripting, and hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in administering IBM Spectrum LSF scheduling platform.
• Strong Linux administration skills and proficiency in bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform.
• Knowledge of AWS Batch, Weka, Lustre, and other relevant technologies is a plus.
• No security clearance required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administering and optimising the IBM Spectrum LSF scheduling platform.
• Linux system administration and maintenance.
• Developing and implementing efficient bash scripts for automation.
• Utilising AWS and Terraform to deploy and manage high-performance computing resources.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with AWS Batch for parallel job processing.
• Experience with Weka, Lustre, and other relevant HPC technologies.
