A leading global commodity trading company, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their global Data Science and Engineering team. You will play a crucial role in a fast-paced, data-driven trading environment, collaborating closely with traders and research analysts to develop and maintain critical data infrastructure.

Your Impact

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver market and fundamental data to our research analysts and traders. You will work closely with a team of data scientists to develop sophisticated modeling techniques and provide cloud-based infrastructure to support their work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data integration pipelines using Python and SQL
• Build and maintain data models for a variety of internal and external datasets
• Contribute to the automation of processes on the trading desk
• Develop a deep understanding of technical projects on the desk to better serve commercial needs
• Ingest and manage market and fundamental data
• Develop sophisticated modeling techniques
• Provide cloud-based infrastructure for the use of research analysts, traders, and data scientists

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related subject
• 5+ years of experience with Python and SQL
• Experience with the AWS data stack (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda)
• Experience with enterprise-scale data systems
• Commodity trading experience (Gas/Power) highly desirable
