Python Developer – Front Office Trading
Cititec Talent are currently working with a global commodities trading company that has been a pioneer in the industry and has grown from a boutique player to a top 5 powerhouse. They are looking for a skilled Python Developer who will work directly with the front office and will play a critical role in the firm’s technological evolution.
The company are looking for a python developer who can design and develop their innovative AWS-native data analytics platform.
Using Python, to build high-performance, high-throughput data pipelines for trading exchange, FX and fundamental data. This platform incorporates real-time extraction, transformation and analysis of data from hundreds of diverse sources, some generating up to 100,000 transactions per minute
The ideal candidate should have the majority of the following:
- Experience Developing and maintaining data pipelines for a company’s analytics platform.
- Knowledge of how to collaborate with various teams to meet pipeline requirements.
- Be able to Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues.
- Strong experience in cloud-based development (AWS).
- Experience Optimizing pipelines for performance and scalability.
- Be able to maintain and enhance pipelines as the platform evolves
- Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of data engineering experience with strong Python (including Pandas) skills.
- Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming.
- Have strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working in Commodities, Trading or Financial Services markets.
